Students bring plasticine creations to life using our fully-appointed stop-motion stations including DSLR cameras, LED lighting and Dragonframe software, exploring the full stop-motion workflow from sculpting characters and building sets to capturing movement frame by frame. They learn timing, posing, and story structure while applying key animation principles such as squash and stretch, anticipation, and exaggeration. Techniques include replacement animation, expressive movement, and using lighting and composition to create dynamic, character-driven animation.
