FCRCC brings to you a "Steering For Racing "Clinic run by Brendan Curson from Outriggerzone Community Paddling Initiative. J Join us for a fun night of skills for intermediate & advanced steers people at FCRCC. This session will focus on Steering Unlimited's, OCPI will work with steers people to help them improve their skills by focussing on techniques to keep the canoe moving fast, starts, steering tactics, and communication. This is NOT designed for Beginners. We will host one of those a bit later in the season. Date - May 21st 6PM-8PM See you there! "Outriggerzone Community Paddling Initiative is a nonprofit-led program for developing outrigger canoeing and va'a in British Columbia, Canada. With a focus on coach education for youth and novice programs, our expert team visits communities and clubs throughout British Columbia to offer a range of clinics in support of anyone looking to include outrigger canoeing in their community. The program is a joint endeavour between Outriggerzone and Hana Hou Paddlesports and is completely FREE. We provide introductory clinics, coaching clinics, steering clinics. In order to keep programs like this going they ask for donations, as a club we have decided to set a price of $40 for the clinic, where $30 or every registration will be donated to OCPI on behalf of FCRCC and its paddlers.
