Agriculture is defined as the science or practice of farming, including cultivation of the soil for the growing of crops and the rearing of animals to provide food, wool, and other products. Have you ever wondered where your food comes from? Or where do those eggs come from that you use to make those yummy brownies, or a breakfast omelet? We are going to explore the roots of agriculture, with jobs, farming, livestock and all things that help us live our daily lives. We will also touch into the world of livestock as well, showing animals is a big part of AG and learn the ins and the outs of showing Cattle, Swine, Rabbits, Poultry, Goats and Plants. This is Agriculture, and we are going to have a fun time and explore all the ways that Agriculture ties into our daily lives. Bio: Hi, my name is Ashley Waters I have been working in the Veterinary field for 22 years. I have worked at a small Animal Clinic, a spay and neuter clinic, with pocket pets and all the farm animals you can think of. I decided last year that I wanted to hang up my scrubs and homeschool my kids so here we are in the homeschool journey. I decided that I could help out and teach everything that I’ve learned in my 22 years of being a vet tech, and I’m really excited about sharing my knowledge with your children. My hobbies are following Jesus, riding horses and hanging out with my husband and my kids.
