Soccer Clinic FREE! Players of all experience levels are invited!  Brush up on your soccer skills or get a feel for the game before tryouts.   Monday 9/28 3:30-5:00 PM Tryouts for 4th-8th Grade Teams Tuesday 9/29 3:30-5:00 PM Thursday October 1st  3:30-5:00 PM We will have balls available but if you plan to join the team you will need a soccer ball size 5, shin guards, soccer cleats, and plenty of water.  Please label your personal ball if you bring one. Teams will be coed unless we have enough players and coaches for separate girl's JV and Varsity teams.  JV team is 4th-6th grades and varsity team is 7th-8th grades.  If you love soccer and want to share your expertise with the next generation we are looking for assistant coaches, substitute coaches, and teen/parent helpers to work with the teams at practice and during games. If you are experienced with soccer, please consider helping and let me know. Practice will be three days a week until games start. Skills sessions will work on soccer drills to help players improve their skills as well as give players an additional day to work together as a team. Games start in late October. Once games start, we will practice 1-2 days a week with games usually 1-2 days a week. The game season typically lasts 5-6 weeks with 6-8 games. There may be another 1-3 games at the end of the season if our teams make it to the championship games. JV 4th-6th plays games at 3:30pm and Varsity 7th -8th games are at 4:30pm. Players arrive 30 minutes before the game to warm up.  Games are usually on Tuesdays and Fridays. The game schedule will be sent out after the league scheduling meeting in mid-October. Players are not required to be at every practice but it is highly recommended. This gives players more time to work together as a team and work on skills.  Tampa Bay HEAT is in the TBCAL league which is comprised of area private schools. The farthest team is about 40 minutes away with most teams in the Brandon area.
