About this event

Description

Does sleeping under the stars or sitting around a campfire with s’mores sound fun, but you’re not sure where to start? Join us for our Learn to Camp Campout and get hands-on experience with all the basics of tent camping! You’ll practice tent and campsite setup, fire building, campfire cooking (dinner and dessert), and take part in a camping and outdoor supplies overview to learn what gear you really need. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, games, and more!

We’re excited to have Scout Troop 274 helping lead the event and the Washington Trails Association (WTA) joining us to share hiking and camping resources. WTA is giving us access to their gear library, allowing us to lend limited, basic camping supplies specifically for this event, helping make camping more accessible for first-time participants. Whether it’s your first camping trip or you just want to brush up on your skills, this campout is a great way to connect with nature and gain confidence outdoors.

Dinner, dessert, snacks and breakfast provided.

Pets are not allowed.
