Description

Expand your stylistic parameters and learn classic Motown tunes on the ukulele. You'll not only learn timeless soul and R&B tunes and add variety to your uke repertoire but also improve your playing skills and add to your repertoire. With practice and determination, you'll be playing songs by legendary artists such as The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Jackson 5, The Supremes, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, and others.
Pre-requisite: An introduction to ukulele class such as Yes You Can Play The Ukulele Part 1 or similar beginner level class, is suggested. Must know at least 7 basic chords (major, minor, 7th) and be able to transition among them.
Please bring: Soprano, concert or tenor ukulele (no baritone ukes, please), a pick, and a uke (or guitar) capo to each class meeting. If you have a portable music stand or book holder, bring that too. Sorry, no loaner instruments available.
