About this event
Students will develop core woodworking skills including measuring, cutting, and assembling while learning to use a range of tools. Straight cuts are made on chop saws, while more organic shapes are made with a jigsaw, a jig and a router. Assembly is completed with drills, drivers, and screws, giving students hands-on experience in constructing a solid and functional piece. This smaller-scale project is a great introduction for beginners and a satisfying follow-up for returning Adirondack chair students. This one-day class focuses on building a complete Adirondack ottoman. Students will practice precise measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling pieces using hand and power tools. The ottoman is constructed from locally sourced, naturally rot-resistant larch and is designed for durability and comfort. Each student leaves with a fully assembled project to enjoy at home. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission.
