Q: HITS events take place in beautiful areas of the country. What does location mean for a participant?
A: We wanted to find warm places for our winter races and we knew that destination locations were a must. We chose places where people can vacation and do a triathlon while they are there enjoying what each location has to offer. We also chose several locations (ie, Ocala and Fort Collins) where there has never been a triathlon before, which is very appreciated by the locals in those areas.
Q: Of all the tri events in the country, what makes HITS events stand out?
A: An outstanding race day experience! We aim to deliver an unmatched product on race day, and we appreciate our athletes for helping to develop the series and advance this new concept.
Also, customer service. If one of our athletes called the HITS office right now, there is a good chance that they could get either Race Director Mark Wilson or President and CEO Tom Struzzieri on the phone. They ask and we deliver as many amenities and benefits as we can, which is pretty rare.
