Join us for exciting pickleball programs from certified instruction Dave Chaney!

This program is offered the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at Bear Branch Outdoor Multi-Use Court for a $5 drop fee. Pickleball coaching for individuals with Parkinson's disease focuses on improving coordination, balance, and overall well-being through specialized programs led by a trained instructor.
These programs incorporate evidence-based techniques to ensure safety and enhance the benefits of playing pickleball. This will be a drill and play format with instruction on safely warming up, rules, basic movements and strokes. Open play follows instruction.
Program is 60 minutes.
Every six minutes, someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in the United States. Studies show that pickleball is a beneficial activity for those with PD — improving cognitive, social, and gross motor skills including balance, coordination, and gait. Beginning this fall, The Woodlands Township, in partnership with USA Pickleball and Selkirk is offering a pilot Pickleball for Parkinson’s program. Pickleball coaching for individuals with Parkinson's disease will be conducted by a certified instructor incorporating evidence-based techniques to ensure safety and enhance the benefits of playing pickleball.
