Tennis Drill: 10 Point Rally

Tennis Drill: 10 Point Rally

Category: Hitting
Submitted by: Harvard Women's Tennis

Drill Description:

Each person gets a partner (4 on a court). The two partners stand across from each other on opposite sides of the net at the service line.

When time starts, they hit "short court" back-and-forth rallies, attempting to get 10-in-a-row (you can make it more depending on ability levels).

Once both teams get to 10, everyone moves back to the baseline and starts the game again. Then one team will move up to the service line while the other stays on the baseline.

Finally, both teams will return to the service line and the game continues.

The trick is not to change court positions until both teams have successfully volleyed 10-in-a-row.
