About this event
Engineering is a word that we may not hear every day, but it is present everywhere we look! From the food we eat to the homes we live in, many engineering fields have impacted and created the world we move in today. In the four-day camp at Surrey Libraries - Strawberry Hill branch for youth in grades 8-9, we will work together to identify all the ways that engineering touches our lives today. Along the way, we will build engineering projects while learning basic concepts in multiple engineering streams. This community camp is made possible through our partnership with Surrey Libraries. These free camps are intended to support underserved communities across the Lower Mainland. Please visit Geering Up's website to learn more about our paid programming. Please note: This camp will run only for four days in the week from Monday to Thursday. Additionally, this camp is a half-day camp only, running from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
