Are you in Grades 6-7? Join us for an inter-school event at Lena Shaw Elementary School on November 15th and meet other change-makers from nearby schools! At our “Growing Actions: Food in Changing Climates” event, we’ll learn by doing! Soil and seeds alone can teach us a lot about how food grows. But we won’t stop there—technology and engineering will help us explore new ways to support food systems. How does soil or a seed change when temperatures rise, and how can we measure these effects? Together, we’ll explore the challenges our world faces around food in a changing climate and see how these challenges are all connected. The day will include hands-on activities designed to show you how much power you have to shape what you eat. After all, we are what we eat!
