Activity Organizer: NEO ROBOTICS Email: neo@neoxrobotics.com Dates: Fridays Grades: 3-5 Cost: $800 Description: In the World of Drones workshop, your student will be introduced to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and develop a deep understanding how to control and manage this exciting technology. This workshop will give your student the chance to safely test out some of the newest advances in aerial flight and really take their knowledge of engineering to new heights! What Students Will Learn: Types of UAVs There are many different types of UAVs, and your student will learn how to classify them based on size, number of rotors, and special features. • Mechanical Components of a UAV Students will identify and label the various mechanical components involved with typical UAV technology. Basic Drone Safety Students will learn about the Federal Aviation Associations of rules and regulations for safe drone aviation and adhere to those rules during flight challenges. Flight controls Students will learn the flight controls that direct all aerial vehicles and utilize that information to direct and control a UAV during flight challenges.
