CIT (Counselor-in-Training) Program Special two-week Leadership Program Are you interested in gaining professional experience while working hands-on in a fun summer camp setting? The C.I.T. program gives teens the opportunity to develop important job and life skills, while preparing for future employment through training, hands-on experience, and evaluation. C.I.T.s will attend workshops that will enhance skills like communication, conflict management, time management, basic youth development, program development, and leadership. Throughout the two weeks, the group will bond as a team, as they participate in their own exciting camp activities and a field trip to a high ropes course. During the second week they will be leading activities with the campers. The C.I.T. hours spent working directly with children can be used as community service hours. Here are just a few of the workshops provided for C.I.T.s: • Program planning and leading camper activities • Health and safety, and managing risk • Coaching and mentorship, and receiving feedback • Interview skills and expected behavior in a workplace Price: $470 (for a 2 week program) Grades: Rising 10 -11 Weeks 5 & 6: July 8 -12 & July 15 -19 (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
