We're hosting a Mesa Turquesa session with Joshua McCarey! Tuesdays 5:00-6:00pm, from October 6th - December 8th. (Mesa=Table) How it Works: This is a Spanish class/conversation club with a twist: storytelling and connection form the heart of Joshua's Mesas. Conversations will integrate your own life stories with Spanish language and Hispanic culture. Find out more about his program at lamesaturquesa.org/mesas. Join us for a 10-week course in beginners' Spanish. Together, we'll use the art of storytelling to learn basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar- all while deepening interpersonal connections. This is a chance for those with little to no experience in Spanish to begin their language journey. This class costs $225, paid directly to Joshua (see your confirmation email for payment instructions). You will just register through our Adult Ed platform. *Keep in mind that Joshua has scholarship funding available; nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds. You can also pay in weekly installments, if this makes attendance more affordable for you..* What You'll Learn: - In 10 meetings you'll learn and practice Spanish speaking, listening, and grammar - Focus on 2 main grammatical themes and various vocabulary words - Through conversation, you'll build speech and imagery through personal connection to the language - This session's theme will explore the cultural roots of the Temple of Kukulcán in Mexico! This class is open to ages 16 and up, or by permission of the director.
