About this event
Take control of your financial future! This practical 8-week course will give you the tools to achieve your financial goals, whether you're starting from scratch or looking to improve your current situation. Learn to make confident money decisions, create a realistic budget, build credit, manage debt, and plan for financial security. Meeting Thursdays, 5:30-7pm, at the Island Connectivity Hub (43 School St., Stonington). Please note that class won't meet on April 23 school holiday). What You'll Learn 1. Financial decision making 2. Income, spending, and taxes 3. Budgeting 4. Banking: checking and savings 5. Credit scores 6. Dealing with credit card debt 7. Loans 8. Students taking this course for high school credit can take it on a pass/fail basis and for free. Choose Your Tuition: We offer four tuition options for this class, including a free rate. Choose the level that feels right for you — no proof of income is required.
