A moderately strenuous tour, the trail to the mine is about 1.5 miles, mostly uphill (one way), 3 miles round trip. The beginning is a steady climb (we stop lots to rest and learn along the way). The group may eventually make it to an old Uranium Mine, the furthest our groups go. Where do you meet: the public parking lot at 8th and Oak St. We will van you from there. Time: Please arrive at the public lot ready to load in the van at 9:15am. We will arrive back at the lot at 1:30pm Transportation: You are responsible for your own transportation to the public parking lot; please PLAN AHEAD. Local accommodations may not have shuttles that operate this early; check beforehand. You can use ride apps on your phone or the local free bus system. Refunds - Refunds are not offered within one week of the program. Registration closes at noon the day before the program. If we do not have our minimum number of 4 participants, we will cancel the program, notify participants, and issue refunds.
