Inspired by gaming greats like Pokémon, Donkey Kong, and other creature-collecting worlds (but with a real-life STEAM twist!), our STEAM Teams will take on the roles of biologists, ecologists, and engineers as they explore, classify, and “train” the island’s fascinating mini-monsters. Campers will investigate how these imaginative species adapt to different environments, analyze their habitats, and design technologies to support their survival—drawing on real scientific principles like evolution, ecosystems, and energy flow just like in the popular gaming world of Pokémon. Along the way, they’ll visit challenge “gyms,” earn merit “badges,” and test their discoveries in friendly team competitions. Our young scientists will apply the engineering design process to become true STEAM Champions. This hands-on, super active camp is part science quest, part creative adventure—just without the Pokéballs!
