In Cool Careers STEM Camp, campers will explore the exciting, ever-evolving world of STEM and STEAM careers through hands-on scientific discovery and engineering design! This immersive Challenge Island adventure transforms the question “What do you want to be?” into an exploration of how science, technology, engineering, art, and math shape the world around us. For example, at Mechanical Engineer Orange Grove, campers will dive into the world of mechanical design, systems engineering, and automation, exploring how machines harvest, sort, and process agricultural products efficiently and sustainably. They’ll experiment with levers, gears, and pulleys to prototype their own fruit-sorting contraptions and eco-friendly machinery. Each destination in this camp introduces students to a new field of study, inspiring them to dream big while thinking like real scientists and innovators. Throughout Cool Careers STEM Camp, campers will use the engineering design process—brainstorming, building, testing, and improving—to solve real-world challenges while developing the critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills that define 21st-century innovators.
