Is your child ready to start staying home alone? This engaging and practical course helps children and their families prepare for those first steps toward independence. Participants will learn safety skills, decision-making strategies, and how to handle unexpected situations when home without adult supervision.

This course empowers children with the knowledge and confidence they need to care for themselves safely and responsibly.

Please bring a nut-free lunch and snacks.

Note: The City of St. John’s cannot guarantee that children who complete this course will be ready or responsible enough to remain home without adult supervision.
