Description

The Smithtown Recreation Department's sailing lessons at Long Beach in Smithtown include theory and practice in basic sailing, safety and seamanship. Sessions meet Monday through Thursday, two hours per day for two weeks, providing a total of 16 hours of instruction. Classes are taught on Pico sailboats. Please be advised this program is weather sensitive and will run according to weather conditions. Some days may be strictly on land if wind or weather conditions are not favorable to be on the water. Class meets at the town dock on the right as you first enter the beach. Life jackets and instruction booklets are provided. .
