The Block Party Program is an initiative where the City of Spruce Grove supports its residents with hosting some neighbourhood "parties" during the summer months, to foster connections amongst residents of the same neighbourhood.

Our communities are stronger when we care about each other and the neighbourhoods we live in. A block party is the perfect opportunity for neighbours to come together, meet each other, and have fun! Connections and friendships amongst neighbours result in safer and more caring neighbourhoods/communities.Here's a couple of benefits that comes with becoming a Block Party host with the City's Block Party Program:- Get to know the people who live on your street and your neighbourhood. Neighbours who know each other are more likely to look out for one another.- Establish a sense of belonging for your neighbourhood and community.- Create a connected neighbourhood where neighbours help neach other.- Receive support to help pay for food and refreshments at your party.- Get access to games/activity rentals and signage to advertise your party.- And more!
There are three options for a block party location:- On your own private property (such as a front lawn, backyard, driveway, etc.)- On a closed street in front of your house (full street or cul-de-sac closure, not available for all streets)- On a public green space (mostly parks)
