Sutherland. Spend time exploring the three habitats found at Ford’s Pond Community Park: wetlands, willow/ash riparian, and oak savanna. Located on the Pacific Flyway, the 95-acre Ford’s Pond is a birding hotspot with over 185 species recorded, including bald eagles! The park features a bird viewing plaza, a two-mile paved Pond loop path, and two primitive hillside paths.


Departure is from the Bob Keefer Center-250 S32nd. St. Dress for the weather and walking on uneven ground. Bring a sack lunch, snacks and a drink. Thank you for traveling with Willamalane! Please meet at Bob Keefer Center 250 S 32nd St. Springfield. Please do not wear fragrances on trips.
