About this event

Description

Join us for Willamalane's Inaugural March Sanity 3v3 Basketball Tailgate Tournament.

Each team will be guaranteed at least 3 games.

Teams will play in 2 pool play games and then be grouped into brackets for one game elimination play. Seeding and bracket placement will be based on win-loss record, average point-differential, and other factors that may decide fair match-ups for bracket play.

Games will be to 20 points (2's and 3's) or 12 minutes with ELAM taking effect in the last 2 minute. ELAM will make the target score the highest score plus 3 at that 2 minute mark. Example: Team 1 has 15 and Team 2 has 12, then the target score is 18 and the first team to 18 wins. If ELAM score is over 20, then the target score will remain 20.

Games will be Self-Officiated and Players will call their own fouls. Each court will have an additional court manager helping track score that will as well help deal with disputed calls or any controversial issues that may arise.

Disputed Calls

If the table judge clearly sees the play, they will determine possession.

If the table judge does not clearly see the play, the possession arrow will determine possession.

Intentional Fouls

In self-officiated 3v3, an intentional foul is defined as a foul that is not a legitimate play on the ball, as determined by the table judge (e.g., hugging, shoving, etc.).

Intentional fouls will be penalized as follows:

1.Initial warning (1) point and possession awarded to the fouled team.

2.Two (2) points awarded to the fouled team and possession.

3.Forfeit for the fouling team.
