Learn Free Weight Training the Right Way!
Spring into summer with training done correctly.
Join this group personal training class focused on mastering proper form and technique with free weights. You’ll build strength, confidence, and endurance through a fun, full-body workout that combines strength training and cardio.
We’ll cover the fundamentals of free-weight lifting, functional fitness principles, and progressive training methods to help you move better and feel stronger. Whether your goal is to master a pull-up, build muscle, or simply improve overall fitness, this class is for you!
This class is great for beginners as well as those who have taken it before. We’ll continue building strength and confidence so you can feel comfortable lifting on your own or in the gym.
You will move between the floor and a bench throughout class and use a variety of dumbbells for different exercises. No prior weightlifting experience is needed—we’ll guide you every step of the way and help you build a positive, confident approach to lifting.
Class Time:
Tuesday & Thursday at LONGVIEW RECREATION CENTER
3:15 PM – 4:15 PM

Youth Policy:
Participants ages 13–17 must have a parent complete a Release & Waiver Agreement registration form (available at the front desk) and must complete an orientation before attending class.
WCPR Refund Policy
It is your responsibility to read the class description and location information.
Should you need to cancel registration for an activity please notify Sharon Carolan in writing no later than 48 hrs. prior to the start of class at sharon.carolan@williamsoncounty-tn.gov
You will be given the option of receiving a credit to your WCPR account or receiving a refund. Due to State Auditing/ Fund Regulations, any online processing fees cannot be credited or refunded.
