This course focuses on the beginning foundation work needed for a variety of dog sports including obedience, rally, freestyle, rally free, herding, barn hunt, flyball, nosework, conformation, agility, and field work. This course may include but is not limited to exercises to become proficient in engagement/focus, heeling, recalls, fronts and finishes, distance work, targeting, jumping, scent work, impulse control, rear end awareness, stays and retrieves. Skills will be broken down into manageable exercises and drills that will prepare a dog and handler team to perform with confidence and precision. In addition to preparation for competition sports, completion of this course will prepare you for Denise Fenzi TEAM 1 and 2 tests should you wish to pursue those totals.
