Join Safe Milwaukee Self-Defense for a practical, hands-on workshop designed to help you feel more confident, aware, and prepared in your everyday life. This 2-hour session covers:
• What self-defense is and isn’t, and how to use awareness and boundaries before physical skills• How being too polite or hesitant can sometimes put your safety at risk• Common attacks and realistic strategies to recognize, prevent, and escape them• Home safety and travel safety tips for everyday life• How to walk with confidence and project awareness to avoid being targeted• What attackers want and don’t want from their victims• How to recognize and respond to potential threats early• Verbal strategies to de-escalate confrontation before it becomes physical• Simple, effective physical techniques anyone can use to escape and get to safety
This class is open to teens and adults of all fitness levels. No prior experience is necessary — just wear comfortable clothing and bring an open mind.
Safe Milwaukee Self-Defense has taught more than 15,000 people across Wisconsin through schools, churches, colleges, and community organizations. Our focus is empowerment, awareness, and prevention — not fighting.
