About this event
Alice Haiss Scholarship Donation Information Purpose: To assist RSU 54/MSAD 54 Adult Education students who are pursuing post-secondary education or training. Your generous donation empowers RSU 54/MSAD 54 Adult Education to support our graduates as they transition to higher learning. By alleviating the burden of tuition, textbooks, and application fees, you are removing the financial barriers that often stand between a student and their career goals. Support can be applied as direct reimbursement for completed courses or as a foundation for future academic expenses. Eligible Students: Students who have or plan to enroll in Maine College, Post-Secondary or Training Program including: Students who have graduated through RSU54 Adult Education Program Current or former RSU54 students who have successfully completed at least one (1) academic class through our program For 18 years, Alice Haiss was a devoted adult education teacher and advocate, famously instructing at the Somerset County Jail. Also, a gifted artist, far too young Alice passed away from breast cancer in 2008. In her memory, her family and friends established this scholarship to help Adult Education students pursue their post-secondary goals. Preference: Adult learners who are pursuing education or training in high demand, high skill, or high wage occupations. Award amounts: Up to $500
