This course is designed to meet the job performance requirements of NFPA 1001. Students will obtain BOTH Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 certification in this course. Students will learn the fundamentals of firefighting skills through this course which will combine traditional classroom learning with intense practical application. The course is designed to assist students with obtaining certification and includes certification in Firefighter Level 1, Firefighter Level 2, First Aid and CPR, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations. This is NOT an online course! Instructor: Scott Holmes (Charleston FD, Sissonville VFD) Prerequisite: None Equipment Required: Full PPE, SCBA, and Spare Bottle - Each day! Class will meet EVERY Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning March 4, 2022 and ending on Sunday, April 10, 2022.
