About this event
At the completion of this training, the student should be capable of safely performing, supporting, coordinating, and man-aging a search and rescue in any wilderness environment in which the rescuer might be required to operate. Class will participate in practical evolutions in the wilderness setting. Students will build a 24-hour shelter, start a fire, and complete a night time search and rescue. This class will be staying throughout the night in the woods on Saturday night and students will need to be prepared for the weather and elements. Class start time on Saturday morning is estimated and will be relayed to pre-registered students ahead of time. Instructor: Roger Brafford Prerequisite: Rope Rescue, Wilderness SAR Ops, and EMR, EMT, or Wilderness First Aid Equipment Required: ANSI Safety Helmet, Rescue gloves, Clothing for outside activities in inclement weather, OSHA safety glasses, 24-Hour SAR Pack
