This course will focus on helping students gain an understanding of the dynamics of ventilation used in the fire service today. “Why” ventilation is necessary, “When” ventilation should begin, and “Where” ventilation should be set up will all be demonstrated. Students will learn proper techniques of positive pressure, vertical, and horizontal applications. Correct ladder carries, aggressive placement, working from ladders, and rescues will also be taught in this intensive two-day course.
