This course is designed to meet the job performance requirements of NFPA 1021. It identifies the requirements necessary to perform the duties of a first-line to mid-level supervisor. Introduces the student to the concepts of management and supervision on such topics as: Organizational Structure, Communication Skills, Human Resource Management, Public Relations, Planning, Emergency Service Delivery, Safety, information management, government structure, and department budget planning and management. This course is IFSAC eligible. Instructor: Jason Burger Prerequisite: Fire Fighter 2 Equipment Required: Laptop Computer Class will meet on March 6, March 7, March 8, March 13, March 14, and March 15. On Friday's, class will begin at 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays class will begin at 8am.
