This one-day course will cover topics specific to responding to flood type emergencies from a command or emergency management perspective. Topics will include assessing risk for flooding, response preparation, assigning incident priorities, managing resources, incident escalation, operational considerations, incident de-escalation, and demobilization. Table top exercises will help instill learning points. The course is designed for anyone who may serve in a command function on a flood event.
