This “EMT – Hybrid Boot Camp” course will allow the student to complete their Initial EMT training in just 6 weeks. The training course equips you with the skills to respond to critical incidents, perform initial assessments, provide emergency treatment, and safely transport patients. This very intense course will be in a hybrid format (part online and part in person) where the student will complete part of the course online and their skills sessions in person. You will have to devote your personal time to completing the online course work. The time needed will depend how well you grasp the subject. In addition to the course dates listed, there will be mandatory weekly Zoom sessions with the instructors each Thursday evening. In-person dates will mainly be for skills sessions. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMT’s exam. This test will be scheduled at your convenience at a Pearson Vue testing center. If seeking certification in a state other than WV, you will not need to complete the WV certification process/fees, and will simply need to pass practical testing and NREMT examination before proceeding with the certification process in your desired state. On Friday's, class will begin at 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays class will begin at 8am.
