This EVT Prep Course will prepare the student to test for the EVTCC (Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission) exam for Fire Apparatus categories of F-1 Inspection, Maintenance, & Testing of Fire Apparatus, F-2 Design & Performance Standards of Fire Apparatus, F-3 Fire Pumps and Accessories, and F-4 Fire Apparatus Electrical Systems. This track is for those technicians who service and maintain fire department pumpers, squads, aerial devices, tankers, wild land apparatus, etc. The exams cover design and performance standards, specialized systems and equipment, and accepted practices used in the service and maintenance of fire apparatus. The course will show the student what references are needed and how to use EVT study objectives. It will go heavy into theory so that the student will understand some basic physics as it applies to the subject matter at hand. Each student will pay an additional exam fee per certification track to be tested. On Friday's, class will begin at 6pm and on Saturdays and Sundays class will begin at 8am.
