About this event
Students are introduced to the field of computer science through a hands-on exploration of topics. The course focuses on the conceptual ideas of computing and helps students understand why certain tools or languages are utilized to solve problems. Students will develop the computational thinking practices of algorithm development, problem-solving, and programming within the context of problems that are relevant to the lives of today’s students. Students will also be introduced to topics such as interface design, limits of computers, and societal and ethical issues. Students are evaluated on participation, projects, and quizzes. Completes HB graduation requirement. Summer Studies are full and partial-credit courses that provide an optimum learning experience for high school students from independent, private, and public schools
