Ready to discover how government works and how you can make a difference in your own community? In this engaging after-school program, students will explore key moments and ideas about U.S. history and civics, learning about roles such as the U.S. presidency and important founding document, including the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Students will also have the exciting opportunity to meet a local elected official, learn about their role in the community, and discover how local leaders and government work to address community needs. Students will be encouraged to think critically, collaborate, solve problems, and discover how their ideas can contribute to their community!
