The Lifesaving Society's National Lifeguard (NL) award is recognized as the standard measure of lifeguard performance in Canada. NL training prepares lifeguards to prevent incidents and in the effective resolution of emergencies if needed. NL is worth two Grade 12 High School Credits.
AMOA is designed to provide knowledge and practice to maintain an airway and administer supplemental oxygen. Content includes: safe handling of oxygen, knowledge and assembly of oxygen equipment, selection and application of oropharyngeal airways and oxygen delivery devices, pulse oximeter use, appropriate use of suction and bag-valve-masks.

Prerequisites:
-Bronze Cross
-Standard First Aid (does not need to be current) from one of the following agencies.
- Lifesaving Society
- Canadian Red Cross
- St. John Ambulance
- Canadian Ski Patrol
- Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation of Canada
-15 years of age before the last day of the course
Please bring bathing suit and towel, pen and paper, snacks and water bottle.
