About this event
What moves through your body cells? How does liquid blood flow compare to much larger moving objects, like marbles or even skateboards? Does electricity move in a similar way from a battery to a lightbulb? Each day we explore concepts of motion in all sciences -Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Come experience Science at Seattle Prep with this hands-on camp designed to build lab skills, explore multi-disciplinary concepts, and connect to our everyday life. Imagine what your mouth cells can teach you, along with potatoes, marbles, batteries, & more…?! Brian Meza has been teaching both Integrated Physics/Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology for the past 20+ years at Seattle Prep. In his role as teacher and department chair, he often reflects on how lucky he feels to be an educator. He is very excited about sharing his passion with his students regarding human structure and function. *Campers enrolled in a full day of camps will have supervised lunch with activities on campus after morning session and prior to attending their afternoon session.
