About this event
Have you ever wanted to know what it is like to perform surgery? Are you interested in how your body works? Learn about the different body systems of animals and how they are like or unlike our own body systems. How does a cow eye compare to a human eye? How do exercise and posture impact blood pressure and heart rate? This exciting course will help foster an appreciation for science and human anatomy and physiology. It will include daily lab investigations using Vernier probes and other lab tools, X-ray analysis, along with brain, heart & eye dissection experiences. Brian Meza has been teaching both Integrated Physics/Chemistry and Anatomy & Physiology for the past 20+ years at Seattle Prep. In his role as teacher and department chair, he often reflects on how lucky he feels to be an educator. He is very excited about sharing his passion with his students regarding human structure and function. *Campers enrolled in a full day of camps will have supervised lunch with activities on campus after morning session and prior to attending their afternoon session.
