About this event
Does your child love to build and figure out how things work? This exciting, hands-on course is the perfect first step into the world of engineering! What are “simple machines”? They’re the hidden tools that make everyday things work—helping us lift, move, and build with less effort. Think of a seesaw lifting a friend, a wheel helping a car roll, or a crane’s rope and pulley raising something heavy. In this course, young makers will learn these big ideas by actually building them in fun, hands-on, mission-based challenges. Students will build inventions to help a friendly class mascot complete mini-missions, such as crossing a canyon with a bridge or lifting treasure with a pulley crane. Along the way, they will practice core engineering skills like problem-solving, testing, and refining designs. By the end, students will gain the confidence to turn their creative ideas into real, working inventions!
