Fiddle WorkshopTuition: $10.00Date: Saturday, May 23rd @ 9:30 - 10:30 AM
Instructor: Rachel NesvigWho Can Join: Adult String Players (violin, viola & cello) of any skill level
Workshop Details:
Participants will learn one or two simple Norwegian folk tunes by ear. Rachel will play short phrases and fiddlers will play back until they have it. We will add more and more pieces until we have a full tune! Optional harmonies or bass lines might be added. Rachel will also teach some traditional Norwegian ornamentation. She will also give a mini concert featuring the Hardanger Fiddle, the National Folk instrument of Norway.

Materials Needed: Participants should bring their instruments. You may bring a phone or other recording device to take videos during the workshop.
