July 1 Day Bodyboard Camp

Thank you for your 2023 Day Bodyboard Camp registration. You are confirmed for it. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our passion for NW bodyboarding with you this summer! A couple days prior to the camp, the Director will email you with the chosen beach location. The beach location is based on the most current swell and wind report. We hold camps at both Oswald West State Park (aka Short Sands) as well as Seaside Cove area. Campers will meet up at 8 am at the white NWWSC trailer at either the North parallel parking lot at Oswald West State Park or in the Seaside Cove parking area. Camp wraps up back at the trailer at 4:30 pm. At the end of the day’s camp, you’ll hand return your wetsuit, finsocks, gloves, hood, bodyboard and swimfins to Cleanline Surf Shop in Seaside. They will have a rental roster for our camp with your name on it. Just have a rental staff person check your gear in and cross you off of the rental roster. There is no easy way for the Director to return wetsuit rental gear, since she is pulling a trailer and can't pull into the shop parking lot. Organic catered lunches, snacks, and beverages are provided. For Saturday’s Day Camp, you made a choice of sandwich for lunch; either Curried Almond Albacore Tuna Salad or Peanut Butter Banana Honey w/ coconut and raisins, during registration. Please remember which lunch you chose. Thank you! Essentials to pack for the day’s surf camp are: Large backpack each (to put all gear in and be hands free to carry your bodyboard and swimfins to the beach), a large plastic garbage bag for wet and sandy gear (also if showery to put over your pack to keep dry), towel, water in container, sunscreen, sunhat or cap, light sneakers or sturdy sandals, camera.
