MERCURY (Recommended for Ages 7-12). This program introduces younger sailors to the fundamentals of sailing in 15-foot Cape Cod Mercury keelboats. These stable, sturdy boats provide an ideal platform for beginners. Sailors will learn basic boat parts, points of sail, right-of-way rules, and teamwork, while building confidence on the water. The Mercury program is best suited for sailors aged 7-12 and may be taken for many years as skills develop. All participants are expected to wear closed-toed shoes and wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket. Fee: $215 per week.
