The Santa Barbara Runners Association (SBRA) offers a great way to start the New Year with an invigorating SB waterfront 5K & 10K run or walk on New Year’s Day! You can double up and race both events as well. Founded in 1979, the Resolution Run is a Santa Barbara classic race inviting friends and family from throughout Southern California to get the New Year off and running!

SBRA events benefit the greater running community, school and club running programs throughout Santa Barbara County. The event options:
- 5K (3.1 Miles) Run or Walk - 9:00 am start
- 10K (6.2 Miles) Run or Walk - 9:45 am start
- New Year’s 15K Double!
Race Location & Times
- Location: SB Waterfront - Cabrillo Pavilion, Santa Barbara CA.
- Start times: New Year’s Day – Sunday, January 1, 2023 at 9:00am for the 5K and 9:45am for the 10K.
- Packet pickup/late registration opens at 8:00 am at the Cabrillo West (Bathhouse) parking lot.
- SBRA Grand Prix: The 10K run is the inaugural SBRA Grand Prix event for 2023 (5K for the Junior Grand Prix). Compete against fellow runners throughout the year in Santa Barbara’s best races!

Fees
Race registration is $50. Runners are allowed to "double up" for 15k of racing for an additional $10. Runners planning to do both races can do so for just $60.
SBRA members recieve a $10 discount on registration
17 & Under participants are only $20! Your discount will be applied during registration based on your age on race day (January 1, 2024)
