Description
In this 5-week interactive ONLINE class, you'll learn to greatly enhance your picture-taking skills while unlocking your artistic potential. Course covers landscapes, seascapes, rural settings, "artsy" close-ups, the night lights of cities and carnivals, etc. Topics: Expanding your photographic vision, experimenting with shutter speed and motion, working with lens perspective (i.e., wide vs. telephoto), exploring composition and design, creating and controlling depth, capturing sunsets and sunrises, incorporating people in the scenery, etc. Emphasis is on natural light and a goal of capturing images "in-camera" (i.e., not relying on extensive post-processing). How class works: Each Wednesday for five weeks, a PDF text-and-photo lesson and assignment will become available. You can sign into the virtual classroom anytime to ask questions, submit assignment pictures, view instructor's video critiques, etc. Recommended gear: digital camera with adjustable controls and a standard zoom lens (and/or fixed lenses). Note: For all skill levels, although a basic knowledge of shutter speed, F/stops and ISO is helpful.
