Open to first-time registrants and to previous attendees who have not fully mastered the tai chi basics and the 24-form yang style tai chi routine. Beginning tai chi introduces new participants to the basics of Yang style tai chi. They will learn the names of and practice individual forms or movements and incorporate them into a sequence of forms to comprise the 24-form tai chi. Participants are encouraged to wear clothing that will not hinder movement of legs and arms. The main instructor will be Rodrigo Dar and will be assisted by advanced Tai Chi practitioners.
