Activity Organizer: Ms. Meyers Email: leigh.meyers@basisindependent.com Dates: 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Location: TBD Grades: 6–12 Cost: $110 Description: The Introduction to Science Olympiad Club is designed to teach BISV students from grades 6-12 about Science Olympiad and its events. These students should mostly be around grades 6-7 since the Science Olympiad Club does not frequently accept students from those grades. Additionally, BISV, unlike other competing schools in our region, does not have a training program for future Science Olympiad members and only has a single team. This means that some people would not be able to join because of the 15-member limit that Science Olympiad teams have. Thus, this club will allow more people to experience what it is like to be in Science Olympiad and give them insight into the competition process. NOTE: Introduction to Science Olympiad club members DO NOT compete in Science Olympiad. This is a teaching program hosted by current BISV Science Olympiad members.
