In this course, you'll learn how professional costume designers bring characters to life, from the first script reading to the final sketch. Working under the guidance of a professional designer, you'll analyze plays, research time periods and styles, and create your own original costume designs. You'll explore how color, silhouette, and fabric choices communicate character, mood, and status on stage. Whether you're drawn to theater, fashion, or both, this course will sharpen your eye for design and give you a portfolio of work to show for it. *The camp fee is inclusive of supplies.
