Earn up to 5 community service hours with our Serving our Local Community class this summer! Work with San José–based organizations such as Veggielution, Sacred Heart Community Service, the Children’s Discovery Museum, San José Parks, and more to expand your understanding of what it means to be an agent of change in your community. Through hands-on service, guided reflection, and meaningful conversations with local leaders, students will explore how service connects to social justice, equity, and civic responsibility. This course empowers students to move beyond awareness and into action, building skills, empathy, and a lifelong commitment to community engagement.
